- If your home has hardwood floors and your guest come in high heals, if you feel comfortable doing so, you may want to ask her to remove those high heels before walking on your hardwood floors. Good advice, if the weather is bad make sure shoes come off before entering the home, and keep protective mats clean or they are not effective. Try not to stress too much, but a little bit of proactive action can keep your floors in good shape.
Yes I agree another good idea when buying pre-finished hardwood or bamboo flooring is to buy an extra couple boxes just incase you do damage your floor. At least you would have the same colour and finish the damaged boards can be removed and replaced with the new ones quite easily.
