Social networking is so prevalent these days that even the most unlikely candidates have joined. It’s no longer unusual to encounter someone’s grandma on Facebook. So, there’s a good chance you have an account. But did you know that you can use it to transform a space in your home? With a few savvy pointers you can go from leaving your photos in digital outer space, to using them to adorn your walls. In this six-part series we will highlight ways to do this.
Facebook:
- Tip 1 – On your birthday you’re likely to receive numerous well wishes. If so, Facebook posts a graphic that says Happy Birthday with your name and the number of people who posted sentiments. Use the screen capture function to create a file, then print it, frame it and hang it near the door. As you leave the house, it will be a source of cheer on good days. If you have a bad day, it’s a great way to remind yourself that you are well liked!
Instagram:
- Tip 2 – The first challenge is how to access your Instagram photos. The platform has good protective measures in place for user posts. The easiest way to capture your photo posts s is by using the screen capture function on your phone. If you’re not certain how to do this, Google the name of your mobile device with the words ‘screen capture’ and you’ll easily find instructions. The method varies by device.
