As the granddaughter of the founder of ABC Carpet & Home, Max Weinrib, Madeline Weinrib continues the family tradition of high quality, beautiful rugs. Weinrib debuted her first carpet collection in 1998 after finding a gap in the contemporary rug market. As a painter and designer, her rugs are inspired by her global travels and traditional patterns that she reinterprets. Known for opulent patterns and bold colors, the collection is artisan crafted in a conscientious way. Weinrib is a trustee of Project Mala, a non-profit organization committed to eradicating child labor in the carpet industry.
There are nine design groups within the Weinrib rug collection. Weinrib rugs are available at ABC Carpet & Home and select retailers around the country.
Tibetan, Metallics, and Cottons consist of rugs with Weinrib’s signature patterns and bold color ways. Graphic, lattice, paisley and floral patterns abound in a myriad of color combinations. Colors range from neutral beige and grey, to soft lilacs to strong reds, pinks and deep blues.
Tibetan Stripes, Cotton Stripes, and Wool Flatweaves combine geometric stripes and Weinrib’s bold color sensibilities. The black and white striped rug has been seen in numerous shelter magazines and blogs.
